This virtual tour was taped in the spring of 2020. During this time most of the US was locked down due to the Coronavirus. We felt that we could take our views away from the stresses of the virus by sharing the magic of Sand Wash Basin.
Horse Loop 1 is probably the most traveled route in the basin. Very seldom do you not see wild horses on this loop.
County Road 75 is the east boundary of Sand Wash Basin. This video gives you an amazing view of the entire HMA to the west of this road.
Most people do not travel this road, as there are not normally many wild horses in this area.
In this video I will take you on a tour of the northwest portion of Sand Wash Basin.
I will concentrate on the land, the conditions of the land and the availability of water in Sand Wash Basin.
Sand Wash Basin is experiencing a drought. In 2018 Wild Horse Warriors Hauled water for the wild horses, and again in 2020 they hauled water.
Hauling water is actually easy, but without water to fill the ponds there is also no water for the vegetation to grow.
The views from the top are incredible.
